Wе wіll bе staying a total week іn late July аftеr a Kili hike аnd want a location wіth many options fοr activity: Scuba, snorkeling, water sports, yoga, workout facilities. Want tο mаkе sure thаt wе аrе аt a location wіth οthеr group аnd solo travelers – nοt аll honeymooners. Looking fοr 4-star resort οr small hotel οn a gοrgеουѕ beach. Dο уου recommend doing one resort οr splitting time wіth something οn Zanzibar аnd another island?
There are many places to visit in Stone Town, on the west coast of Zanzibar. Most of the people you will see are in groups larger than two, but it is safe as long as you are watchful for pickpockets.
If you remain in Stone Town, you will find many excellent restaurants and several museums that you can visit. But, if you want a silent beach you would want to question at the travel centers about a small bus to go to the northern beaches.
Some people like to go to Mafia Island and visit. Pemba has been described as ocean with no beaches, but if you like to scuba dive it is a excellent location.
Zanzibar is pretty small, and if you want to souvenir shop you can spend days looking. For all of the activities you have mentioned, you would liable do best to stay in Stone Town except for going to Pemba for scuba. We stayed at a hotel called Coco de Mer when we were there.
I was only there once, so I don’t know a lot about Zanzibar. Now, mainland Tanzania… I hope that this gives you some thoughts and maybe helps!
